Oakdene Homes have appointed Beckett Rankine to design frontage structures for their new marina development at Newhaven. The frontages are a mixture of revetments and vertical walls supporting multi-storey residential blocks. The ground conditions at Newhaven, which consists of soft silts and marine clays to significant depth, make the project challenging.

Following construction of the new frontages the marina is to be dredged and the berth layout reconfigured.
