Work has now started on the reconstruction of Alderney’s Commercial Quay in Braye Harbour. The 18 month construction project is being recorded by two webcams which can be viewed at www.alderneyquay.info.This website also contains a blog by Beckett Rankine’s site staff.

The works are being carried out by Channel Island based contractor Geomarine. The photo below shows one of the contractor’s first tasks – defusing a wartime shell discovered on site.
