Beckett Rankine was appointed by Grimsby Fish Market to design a passenger disembarkment structure to be used for transfer of crew and lightweight equipment to and from vessels.
We designed a berthing ladder attached to the jetty piles and a deck, with a raised step off platform to allow crew to disembark during the high tides and a ramp to provide an access to the ladder and the crane.
To make the berthing ladder easy to use the ladder was designed to replicate, as best as possible, the layout of an offshore wind turbine access structure.
