Construction work has started for Atash Marine Base in Kazakhstan. The project involves dredging, land reclamation, the construction of a breakwater,a fuelling jetty and a quay wall together with extensive on shore facilities.
Located in Bautino Bay at the Northern end of the Caspian Sea the new harbour will form Caspian Services’ principal base for their supply fleet. The project is part funded by the EBRD with Datoba Construction as the principal contractor. Beckett Rankine have designed the marine elements of the project. The photo above shows land reclamation underway together with the start of breakwater construction.
