Cornwall County Council has appointed BR to design refurbishment works for the Torpoint Ferry slipways. Dating from 1832, the Torpoint crossing is one of the main transport links between Devon and Cornwall. The crossing’s three chain ferries are being replaced with new larger vessels which require improved slipway gradients. For more details see www.torpointferry.org.uk.
