Their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex met Beckett Rankine staff when they visited Alderney Commercial Quay on 7^thJuly 2009. Jessica Kingham gave the Royal couple a presentation on the evolution of the project and explained the principles behind the design. Jessica then showed their Hignesses around the construction site. When completed the quay will provide a much enhanced cargo and passenger handling facility that complies with the latest safety standards.
