Plymouth Docks Masterplan

As part of their City Deal with HM Government, Plymouth City Council is promoting the development of three disused dry docks for marine business activity in South Yard, Devonport. This is expected to become a hub for Marine Industries, which will incorporate ship repair and other much needed facilities. This exciting and innovative new project will create an estimated 1,200 new jobs and give the local economy an important boost.

Once up and running, the new development at South Yard will provide state of the art facilities for marine manufacturing, space for engineering and composites workshops and assembly areas and mobilisation, and will act as a catalyst for similar developments across the far south west, bringing additional investment and job opportunities to local people.

Beckett Rankine has been appointed by Plymouth City Council to provide a technical advisory consultancy team to support and develop the South Yard masterplan, and to produce overarching site concepts and strategies with preparation of a Waterfront Development Strategy.
