Greenwich Pier Ramprider Opened

Tim Beckett joins Brian Staines of London River Services in testing the new Ramprider at Greenwich Pier on its opening day. Made in America this Ramprider is the longest ever built and the first one to be installed outside North America. The system is designed to provide full disabled access to the pier. It consists of a carriage which travels on a pair of nested brows so as to always stay level irrespective of the height of the tide and the inclination of the brows.
