What is your day-to-day role?
My daily work involves a range of activities, including site visits, calculations, structural modelling, report writing, and communicating with Clients and Contractors. The workload is dynamic, and there are always new challenges and opportunities to develop my skills.

What do you enjoy most about working at BR?
The variety of the work. I’ve been involved with a range of projects in my time at BR, from surveying river walls to developing long-term plans for historic vessels. My time working on RRS Discovery and HMS Unicorn in Dundee has been particularly interesting. I’ve had the chance to delve into the world of historic ships, helping to conserve two ships which are both fascinating historic artefacts and complex engineering problems.

What opportunities do BR offer outside of day-to-day work?
BR has monthly organised socials, which are a great way to get to know your colleagues better. But, my favourite benefit is the access to the private garden in the London office, which is a great place to have lunch or play tennis in the summer.
